So, here’s what’s been on my mind since the past four days when my school friends and I were chitchatting. We couldn’t even recollect the names of some of our classmates! We laughed , wandered around the school vicinity and clicked pictures to make memories of not catching up after school but before college convocations. It gives me the chills when you were literally discussing about how many marks you scored in a physics exam to different competitive exam coaching programs, and now you have totally different lives. I came back and looked through my Instagram archive from 2019 just to realize I posted some pretty lame stories, but they were still funny! The people I used to hang out with back then , I didn’t realize they have all changed! And I mean that’s just life, right ? You think the person sitting next to you eating their paratha out of their lunchbox at school will always be your best friend, and in the blink of an eye, your college roommate will always be your best friend, and in another moment, your best work buddy… and it goes on and on.
If things don’t end in a bad way with someone ( disclaimer - you can always make up things if it wasn’t for a stupid reason) , drop a random “Hi ! Are you in the city ?” It feels so good! When you try to remember all the stuff from your science section , the baddies , the classroom games , those random nicknames, and what all special events lead upto them. This note is just a reminder and out of my deep-seated nostalgia, of course! Luckily, I have my school friend group in touch.(touch wood to that! )Take a step and drop a “Hi!” Lots of love to all of you.
Nice Piece✨.
This is an excellent piece—very engaging and well-articulated. I genuinely enjoyed reading it!
